If your donation requires a Site Visit, our Tree Milling Manager will come to the location of the felled tree to determine scope of work.

We work with arborists to remove the felled tree from its location and transport it to our Tree Milling facility.

We’ll provide you with a tax-deductible receipt which you can then take to an appraiser.

What Is Carbon Capture?
Hawaiʻi’s urban trees store decades of captured carbon, and when they’re chipped or mulched, that carbon is released back into the atmosphere far too quickly.
Milling them locally gives the material a second life—while also avoiding the high embodied energy burden of importing lumber from thousands of miles away.
