FAQ

  • Your donation directly supports Re-use Hawai‘i’s mission. Contributions help fund all our programs, providing green job training and second-chance employment. Every dollar strengthens our environmental and social impact, keeps reusable materials out of the landfill, and expands opportunities for our community.

  • Yes! We gratefully accept monetary donations from anywhere. If you’re donating from outside the United States, we recommend checking with your bank or financial institution about any international transaction fees that may apply.

  • Our acceptance guidelines can shift depending on our current inventory, available space, and safety considerations. Because we want to ensure a safe and organized store for the community, we may pause acceptance of certain items when we have high stock levels. If you’re unsure whether we can take your items, we recommend contacting us first. And if we’re unable to accept a donation, we encourage checking with other local organizations that may be able to give your items a second life.

  • For cash donations, we gratefully accept contributions of any size—every dollar supports our mission. For material donations, some items do have minimum quantities or size requirements. If you’re unsure, we recommend contacting us first.

  • Yes! We welcome volunteers who want to support our mission. If you’d like to give your time instead of donating materials or funds, please visit our Volunteer Page to learn about upcoming opportunities and how to get involved.

Your donation directly cultivates a brighter future for Hawai‘i.
